Business Roundtable Competitiveness and Corporate Governance of Korean Companies Business Roundtable with Hasung Jang Dean, Korea University Business Schoo Hasung Jang is the dean of Korea University Business School and a professor of finance at the Asian Institute of Corporate Governance, where he also serves as executive director. He has been a leading figure in minority shareholder rights activist groups in Korea since 1996. His activism, advanced through shareholder suits against banks and large corporations, has produced landmark corporate governance improvements in Korea. Jang received his Ph.D. in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1987, and has taught at the Wharton School and University of Houston. His academic work has been published in Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Markets, Journal of Corporate Finance, and Financial Analyst’s Journal. He received the Graham & Dodd Award from the Financial Analyst Journal in 1996 and the Granite Teaching Award from Korea University in 2004 and 2005. |
