On August 22, Evans J.R. Revere, president of The Korea Society, presided over the Closing Bell at the NASDAQ MarketSite in Times Square in New York City. The ceremony celebrated the opening of the eighth annual New York Korean Film Festival. Each year, the festival, a program of The Korea Society, brings the latest and best Korean cinema to American audiences with a full program of screenings, panels and parties as well as a short-film festival. This year, the festival also honors well-loved Korean actor Ahn Sung-ki with a special retrospective of his work.
