With Americans discovering savory, authentic Korean dishes like bulgogi (marinated barbecue beef), kimchi (spicy pickled cabbage or radish) and bibimbap (mixed rice and vegetables), Korean cuisine is a growing presence on the nation's culinary scene.
Cooking teachers TaeKyung Chung and Debra Samuels, authors of the new cookbook The Korean Table (Tuttle, 2008), will guide home cooks through the process of making delicious, no-fuss Korean favorites like scallion pancakes, mandu (Korean dumplings) and simmered beef short ribs at this cooking demonstration and tasting session.
