Sarah Chung, Co-Founder and Partner, Luxe Brand Advisors
Sarah Chung has been helping launch and grow dynamic brands since 1999. As a new venture consultant, Sarah has worked with over a hundred new business ventures in the greater New York City area, raising millions in individual and institutional financing. Her expertise has also been sought by brands (Johnson & Johnson, GoSMILE, Vitamin Water, AmorePacific), marketing agencies (Noise Marketing, DIGO, Maloney & Fox) and investors (Carlyle Group, North Castle Partners, Rosewood Capital, VMG Partners). Sarah has been quoted as a market expert in leading industry publications such as Women's Wear Daily, The Rose Sheet and GCI Magazine.
Sarah is currently Vice-President of the Korean American Community Foundation, serving as board member since 2006, and was the founding chair of the KACF Steering Committee. She was previously National President and board member of Project by Project, a nonprofit grant-giving organization. In 2006, Sarah hosted a series on Asian American Entrepreneurs for the PBS-syndicated television show Asian America; and in 2008, she was recognized as an Outstanding Entrepreneur by the Asian American Entrepreneurs Network.
She holds a B.S. from Boston University College of Communications in Public Relations and a minor in East Asian Studies.
Susan Kim Tsui, Co-Founder and Partner, Luxe Brand Advisors
Susan Kim Tsui's 15 years experience in international marketing and brand management has driven bottom-line business growth for brands in the US and Asia. In 2003, Susan joined AmorePacific to develop Korea's first luxury brand in the US market. Susan was pivotal in launching and developing the AmorePacific brand at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and Sephora. For her efforts, she was recognized with the "Outstanding Performance Award" by the CEO of AmorePacific, the largest personal care company in Korea. Susan led the launch of the Sulwhasoo brand, a prestige Korean skincare brand, at Bergdorf Goodman in 2010. Susan's previous global marketing experience also includes overseeing PR and corporate communications for Hewlett Packard for the South East Asia region, Marketing Director at the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea where she advised US companies on marketing their brand and doing business in Korea. Susan has been featured and quoted in many media publications including O (Oprah) Magazine, New York Times, WWD, W Korea.
Most recently, Susan has worked with premium US and Asian brands including the PBS TV series "Kimchi Chronicles", soon-to-be released film "Wedding Palace" and Kinae, a new lifestyle brand.
Susan received her BA from the University of Western Ontario (London, Canada), MA degree from Yonsei's Graduate School of International Studies (Seoul, Korea) and currently at the Cornell Johnson School of Management (MBA Class 2014).
