Soyeon Yi
Astronaut

Sunday, April 5, 2009

Less than a year ago, astronaut Soyeon Yi became the first Korean to travel to space when she blasted off on a Soyuz rocket for a scientific mission on the International Space Station. Yi will talk to kids about her training, her spaceflight, and life on the International Space Station at the New York Hall of Science in Queens.

Bring your family to the New York Hall of Science for a fun day of science and discovery, meet Astronaut Yi, and hear her inspirational story as the Korean Astronaut Program's first space traveler.

This program is co-sponsored by The Korea Society and the New York Hall of Science.
