Cecilia Hae-Jin Lee returns to The Korea Society to teach quick and easy Korean cooking to New Yorkers. Join us for an energized evening of cooking and tasting as Lee demonstrates easy everyday Korean dishes. Working from her cookbok Quick and Easy Korean Cooking, Cecilia will show participants how to prepare three savory dishes: Pa Jeon (a savory green onion pancake), Ddukbokgi (a spicy after-work rice stick snack), and Yachae Gooksu (a mix of noodles and vegetables perfect for a quick and healthy meal). Cecilia Hae-Jin Lee is a writer, artist, photographer and lover of good food. A first-generation Korean-American, she has been cooking well before she could reach the counter. Born in Seoul, her family immigrated to the U.S. in the late ’70s. A James Beard award nominee, her cookbooks have been chosen as the "Best of the Best" by Food & Wine and Cookbook of the Month by Gourmet. She is currently updating her Frommer's South Korea guide. |
