Registration is now open for our Winter 2013 Korean-language class. Winter Session offers “Introductory” to “Reading and Discussion” classes running from January 21 through April 12. These classes are a great way to learn Korean in a small-class setting from university affiliated instructors native speakers.
Winter Session classes meet once a week for 12 weeks for a total of 21 classroom hours. All members of The Korea Society, including employees of corporate members, receive discounts. Any first-time students wishing to take Introductory II or higher-level classes must take a placement test.

Tuition: $400 ($375 for members of The Korea Society). Non-members receive a one-year membership included with tuition.
Note: Due to strong demand, class space will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis. Please complete the the application below. If accepted, you will receive a confirmation email from The Korea Society. Your credit card will not be charged until the confirmation is sent.
Emphasizing speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, the language program’s balanced and thorough approach instills in the student a greater understanding and appreciation for Korean culture. Korean language courses extend over a semester of twelve sessions. Instructors are experienced Korean language teachers with university affiliations.
Class size is limited to allow more interaction with the instructor and other students. Classes are offered throughout the year in five sequential levels from basic to advanced.

All levels meet once a week. A detailed schedule, including class dates and meeting times, will be posted on The Korea Society's Web site in early August. Registration for the Fall session will begin at that time.
Course Registration Policy
Registrations are accepted online, by fax or phone, and in person at The Korea Society's offices. Early registration is encouraged, as class sizes are limited and courses fill up quickly. Checks and money orders should be made payable to The Korea Society. Please note that there is a $50 fee for returned checks. Registration is not valid until payment is received and processed. Email registration confirmations will be sent to all students after payment is received.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
· Students must register for classes in advance and abide by registration deadlines.
· Students wishing to drop a course and receive a refund must formally request to be dropped. Requests must be made to Joanne Yu, The Korea Society's language class coordinator, by phone (212) 759-7525, ext. 301, before the second meeting of the class. A $40 cancellation fee will be deducted from the refunded tuition.
· Students wishing to transfer from one class to another must confirm their transfer, by phone or email, with the language class coordinator prior to the third meeting of the class.
· No refunds or credits will be given for missed classes.
