Today's students use Korean electronics, drive Korean cars and listen to Korean pop music, but few know about the dynamic country that is re-shaping the economic and political landscape of East Asia. Through a series of workshops facilitated by nationally recognized scholars, Korea for Beginners immerses participants in the history, religion, literature, film, pop culture and politics of Korea.

2010_fall_fellowship_small_012010 Fall fellowship in Korean Studies

The Korea Society is pleased to announce its 15th annual Fall Fellowship in Korean Studies program to be held in Korea over the 12-day period of October 9-21, 2010 in collaboration with the Academy of Korean Studies and with the support of a grant from the Freeman Foundation. The objective of the program is to provide a general overview of Korea, past and present. All the expenses of the participants will be covered, including round-trip international airfare, accommodations and meals.

School Visits Practicing professionals in Korean performing arts, music and other cultural fields share their expertise and craft with school students.
