| Intermediate Korean I |

Students applying for Intermediate Korean I should have knowledge of basic Korean, including an understanding of a limited number of irregular predicates, the past and future tenses, honorifics, and the polite speech style. This course explores additional irregular predicates, conjunctions, sentence transformations, and other speech styles, along with various cultural contexts. Intermediate Korean I adds approximately 36 basic grammar rules and 250 new words to those learned in Introductory courses. Upon the completion of the course, students should be able to describe personal experiences, hobbies, employment, fashion, and changes, and also be able to exchange their own information.
(Prerequisites: Introductory Korean III or equivalent ability demonstrated on a placement exam.)
