USA / Korea Free Trade Agreement
Last April, Korea and the USA signed a Free Trade Agreement. During a series of seminars throughout the USA, the Korea International Logistics Council (KILC) intends to inform American companies on the implications of this FTA, and how they may benefit from it. Trade cargo volumes between our two countries are now expected to increase, and the number of opportunities of using Korea as a logistics hub to the Northeast Asian region will grow considerably over the next years.
Who Should Attend
Individuals, institutions and companies with professional or academic interests in the Northeast Asian region, i.e. American corporations with clients or operations in the region, or the ambition to do business there; logistics professionals, trade and international business consultants, importers/exporters; bankers; international trade attorneys and any other professional engaged in global trade.
Topics
Major topics of discussion will include: Progress on the Korean logistics hub plan; the Free Trade Zones in Busan, Incheon and Gwangyang; and connections between Korean ports, airports and hinterland. This is an excellent opportunity for American companies to acquaint themselves with the Korean Logistics Hub, and to meet one-on-one with qualified government officials who are able to help companies do business or establish operations in Korea.
