New York Debut
Led by renowned conductor Daejin Kim, the Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the leading orchestras in South Korea. They have been embraced by audiences throughout Asia, Europe and North America, performing at Asia Orchestra Week in Osaka in 2003 and the Eckelshausner Musik Fest in Germany in 2004. The Philharmonic's featured concerto artist, Sunwook Kim, is one of the most sought after young concert pianists today. Having been the first Asian to win the prestigious Leeds International Piano Competition, and the youngest winner in 40 years, Kim has has appeared as a guest artist with the London Philharmonic, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Budapest Festival Orchestra and
many more.
