The Korea Society is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a part-time intern for its performing arts and Korean studies project areas. The intern will provide administrative, logistical and research support.
Responsibilities will include:
- Updating and maintaining database records
- Binding, copying and distributing educational publications such as textbooks and article
- Attending and assisting at Korean studies programs such as conferences and summer courses
- Assisting in pre-program promotional outreach efforts
- Performing miscellaneous administrative tasks
This internship affords unique opportunities for learning and introducing Korean studies and the arts to American educators.
Internship positions at The Korea Society are unpaid, but a modest allowance is provided to cover commuting and lunch costs. The work schedule is flexible and will be discussed during the interview.

Film Internship
The Korea Society is seeking a highly motivated intern for its film department. Responsibilities will include:
- Researching, updating and maintaining press database
- Researching contact information for individuals and organizations
- Researching film reviews/photos
- Archiving film news articles
- Contacting press regarding our film program
- Supporting coordinating and implementing various film programs.
- Supporting the general operations of the film department
- Performing miscellaneous administrative duties

Contemporary Issues/Corporate Affairs Program Internships
The Korea Society is seeking highly motivated individuals to serve as interns in its contemporary issues and corporate affairs project areas. The interns will provide administrative and logistical support for the programs implemented in these project areas.
The responsibilities will include one or more of the following activities:
- Updating and maintaining database records
- Helping to identify potential program topics and speakers
- Researching partnership opportunities with other institutions and groups
- Preparing promotional materials for upcoming programs
- Assisting in pre-program promotional outreach efforts
- Performing miscellaneous administrative tasks
These internships afford unique opportunities to learn more about the social, cultural, economic, political, and security dimensions of the U.S.-Korea relationship.

Senior Development Officer
The Korea Society is seeking a senior development officer to identify and develop program funding sources. Duties will include researching grant-making organizations, providing advice on funding opportunities, requirements and procedures as well as devising and implementing fundraising efforts (including direct mail, planned giving and endowment campaigns). The senior program officer for development will also be responsible for briefing The Korea Society's president on fundraising efforts, maintaining records for grant tracking and reporting and building relationships with current and prospective donors.
Applicants must have knowledge of various grant programs available to non-profits and the ability to create innovative grant applications. A bachelor's degree and at least five years of experience in grant writing and program management required.

Development Internship
The Korea Society is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill an open intern position in its development department. The development intern will provide support for the department’s fundraising activities.
Responsibilities will include:
- updating and maintaining database records
- researching contact information for individuals and organizations
- researching new funding sources in the form of donor campaigns, corporate sponsors and foundation grants
- coordinating and implementing fundraising events
- preparing fundraising collateral
- supporting the general operations of the development department
- performing miscellaneous administrative duties

The Korea Society Journal (TKSJ), an online and print publication of The Korea Society, is now accepting article submissions for its 2009 issue. TKSJ seeks opinion, analysis and reportage on political,business, social, arts/media, cultural and historic topics related to both North and South Korea, as well as articles on U.S.–Korea relations.
