Page 5 of 8 INTERNSHIP, General These internships afford unique opportunities to understand the inner-workings of a non-profit organization, and learn and contribute to the social, cultural, economic, political, and security dimensions of the U.S.-Korea relationship. The work schedule is flexible and will be discussed during the interview. This is an unpaid internship and that class credit is provided is applicable. Responsibilities: * Research, update and maintain database records * Help identify potential program topics and speakers * Research partnership opportunities with other institutions and groups * Prepare promotional materials for upcoming programs * Assist in pre-program promotional outreach efforts * Research new funding sources in the form of donor campaigns, corporate sponsors and foundation grants * Assist in the preparation and implementation of special fundraising events * Research press articles relating to The Korea Society * Monitor the reception desk and direct incoming calls * Perform various administrative tasks to support departments * Willingness to staff gallery during opening hours and support project planning, design, implementation and execution * Class credit available Applicants for these positions must: * Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications * Be capable of conducting detail-oriented Internet searches * Possess exceptional communications skills, polite phone etiquette, and strong writing abilities * Korean language aptitude is welcomed but not required * Send Bachelors or Masters transcript, resume and writing sample (Policy/Arts)
