Juilliard @ The Korea Society

The Korea Society presents classical cello highlights from Julliard School student Alina Lim. She began her cello studies at eight and went on to become a two-time winner at the national finals of The Canadian Music Competition (2003, 2005). Ms. Lim has performed with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Academy Symphony Orchestra of the Royal Conservatory of Music, the Kitchener-Waterloo/Durham Youth Orchestras, and the National Repertory Orchestra. Ms. Lim is a recipient of the Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award from NPR’s From the Top . The performance includes Suite No.6 for the Unaccompanied Cello (J.S. Bach); Caprice (A. Piatti); Glissées für Violoncello Solo (I. Yun); Divertimento (K. Penderecki); and Julie-O (M. Summer).
