The Saemangeum Project, currently underway in South Korea's Jeollabuk-do province, is the largest land reclamation project in Asia for a decade. Engineers are filling in 400 square kilometers—an area five-times the size of Manhattan—of the Yellow Sea to create space for environmentally friendly agriculture, a new port, and cutting-edge technology facilities. Join us for a light lunch as Kim Wan Joo, Governor of Jeollabuk-do, discusses the challenge and promise of this major undertaking.
This program is co-sponsored by New York University's Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service, and will be held at the Puck Building (Rudin Conference Room), at 295 Lafayette Street, 2nd Floor, New York City.
