Sue Mi Terry, Ph.D., is a Senior Managing Director and Head of Strategic Advisory at Gerson Global Advisors, where she oversees Global Research and Government Relations. Dr. Terry is also a Senior Research Scholar at Columbia University’s Weatherhead East Asian Institute and is a frequent lecturer and contributor to numerous think tanks, senior U.S. military colleges and leading universities. Prior to joining Gerson Global Advisors, Dr. Terry served as the National Intelligence Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). Prior to the CFR, she served as the Deputy National Intelligence Officer for East Asia at the National Intelligence Council in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. Dr. Terry also served on the National Security Council (NSC) as Director for Asia under both Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama. Prior to her appointment at the National Security Council, she served as a Senior Analyst in the Directorate of Intelligence, Central Intelligence Agency. Dr. Terry holds a Ph.D. and Master of Arts in International Relations from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and East Asian Studies from New York University.
