The only thing clouding the sky on
the day of the 16th Annual Van Fleet Memorial Golf Tournament was the
occasional wayward drive, sailing across the green. Seventy-one golfers, in 18
teams, played 18 holes at the Bedford Golf and Tennis Club in Bedford New York. The tournament, preceded by
breakfast and followed by dinner and a silent auction, was fun for all. The Van
Fleet Memorial Trophy went to C.Y. Park. The team competition was dominated by a foursome of
Dong Hyun Ahn, Dukki Jin, Daehyun Kim and Moon Gie Kim. As per tradition, Hyundai’s hole-in-one
prize—a 2006 Azera—went unclaimed.
