with Alex Chi

Join us for an upcoming program in The Korea Society’s Young Professionals Network: Lessons Learned series, presented in partnership with the Korea Finance Society (KFS).

Over more than 30 years in finance, Alex Chi, Deputy Chief Investment Officer of Global Credit and Head of Direct Lending at Carlyle, has worked across investment banking, private credit, and senior leadership roles in New York, Hong Kong, and Seoul.

In conversation with moderator David Kim, Vice President at Blackstone Innovations Investments, Alex will reflect on the experiences, decisions and turning points that shaped his career, from his early years in investment banking at Goldman Sachs, including his time working in Asia and Korea, to his transition into private credit and his current leadership role at Carlyle. The conversation will explore lessons learned along the way, including leadership and mentorship, navigating major career transitions, and his commitment to supporting the next generation of Korean professionals in finance.

This event will be hosted at The Korea Society on November 19th at 6:00 PM. A Q&A and networking session will follow the discussion.
