About the Film
“Letter to My Children,” is a short documentary about a Korean-Cuban family that left Korea in 1905, overcoming insurmountable challenges to form a new identity in Cuba.
About the Speaker
Joseph Juhn is a New York-based documentary filmmaker. Prior to becoming a full-time storyteller, Joseph was a NY attorney and Intellectual Property Consultant at New York KOTRA, where he assisted SMEs and early-stage startups’ business ventures in the U.S.
A serendipitous backpacking trip to Cuba in 2015 changed Joseph’s life, as he ran into a Korean descendent there by accident. Profoundly moved by the stories of Korean-Cubans, Joseph is now producing and directing a feature length documentary, titled, “Jeronimo.”
Joseph studied Film at UC San Diego and earned a JD at the Syracuse University College of Law.
