35th ANNUAL VAN FLEET MEMORIAL
GOLF TOURNAMENT

This year, The Korea Society returned to the renowned Baltusrol Golf Club to host the 35th Annual Van Fleet Memorial Golf Tournament on May 18, 2026.

A special highlight of the day was our collaboration with the Mental Performance Golf Academy (MPGA), who hosted morning clinic sessions for guests to sharpen their skills with golf professionals.

34th ANNUAL VAN FLEET MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

This year, The Korea Society returned to Baltusrol Golf Club in New Jersey to host the 34th Annual Van Fleet Memorial Golf Tournament on May 19.

The tournament was a beautiful yet competitive day during which friends, members, and supporters all enjoyed the lower course of Baltusrol Golf Club. It was such a pleasure to see everyone who supports the Society’s mission of promoting greater awareness, understanding, and cooperation between the people of the United States and Korea gather together at this event.

32ND ANNUAL VAN FLEET MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Korea Society held its 32nd Annual Van Fleet Memorial Golf Tournament at the Baltusrol Golf Club on June 12, 2023. Joined by members, sponsors, and supporters of the US-Korea relationship, the tournament provided another fun-filled day to celebrate our mission of promoting greater awareness, understanding, and cooperation between the people of the United States and Korea.

Thanks to a special contribution from LPGA, this year’s golf outing got even more exciting. For the first time, we included a one-on-one golf skills clinic with LPGA Class instructors in our program.

31ST ANNUAL VAN FLEET MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

On May 2, 2022, The Korea Society hosted the 31st Annual Van Fleet Memorial Golf Tournament at the prestigious Baltusrol Golf Club in New Jersey. As The Korea Society celebrates its 65th anniversary in 2022, the tournament provided an opportunity to appreciate our members, sponsors, and supporters for their generosity and contribution to the work of The Society and further cement the close and cooperative relationship.

30TH ANNUAL VAN FLEET MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Korea Society’s 30th Annual Van Fleet Memorial Golf Tournament was held at the Baltusrol Golf Club on June 21, 2021. Members, sponsors, and supporters joined together for a day of golf that celebrated thirty years in promoting greater awareness, understanding, and cooperation between the people of the United States and Korea.

This year, Mr. David Maher, President & CEO of Acushnet Company, received the Medalist Low Gross Van Fleet Memorial Award.

Sean Pyun
Chief Business Officer – Asia
Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA)

As the LPGA’s Chief Business Officer – Asia, Sean Pyun leads all tournament, sponsorship, and business affairs for the LPGA in the Asia region.

Since joining the LPGA as the Manager of International Development and Member Services in 2008, Sean has served in various positions within the organization including the Director of Tournament Business Affairs, Managing Director of International Business Affairs before establishing the Association’s first ever regional branch in Seoul, Republic of Korea, in 2014. He has contributed to many key projects at the LPGA, including the launch of LPGA Golf Wear, first-ever private label apparel licensing deal, and LPGA International Busan, first ever LPGA branded golf course facility outside of United States.

Sean has received his undergraduate degree in Economics & Financial Applications at the Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and Master’s in Sport Management at the University of San Francisco. He currently splits his time between the LPGA Headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida and the LPGA Asia office in Seoul.

The Korea Society’s 29th Annual Van Fleet Memorial Golf Tournament was held on August 11 at Wykagyl Country Club. Many supporters of the US-Korea relationship who have contributed greatly to the mission of the Korea Society got together and enjoyed a perfect mid-summer day and evening at the beautiful Wykagyl Country Club.

27TH ANNUAL VAN FLEET MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Korea Society’s 27th Annual Van Fleet Memorial Golf Tournament was held on Monday, June 4, 2018 at Baltusrol Golf Club, host to multiple major golf championships and a National Historic Landmark. Our tournament took place on the Lower Course which is considered the more challenging and prestigious of the two courses at the Baltusrol. 

We were able to enjoy the presence of many distinguished guests, such as professional golfer Annie Park, who claimed her first LPGA win at the ShopRite LPGA Classic on June 10, 2018.

The Medalist Low Gross Van Fleet Memorial Award went to Mr. Steve Yong of Korea Tourism Organization.
