Event Link: Dr. Byunghun Choi is the Director General of New York Korea Business Development Center (KOTRA). Dr. Choi was an Advisor of Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (Ministry of Knowledge Economy), Korea Testing Laboratory, Korean Standards Association, Korea Craft & Design Foundation, Korea Airports Corporation, Korea-Africa Economic Cooperation and Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education & Training, National IT Industry Promotion Agency. He also served as an advisor to the EXPO 2012 Yeo-Su Korea and Incheon Techno Park. He has served as a KOTRA Medium-Sized Enterprise Development Officer, Overseas Markets Consulting Team Leader and Exhibition and Convention General Team Manager. Dr. Choi received a Ph.D. in Economics from Kyung Hee University. Dr. Choi is also certified in Management Consultant (Marketing), International Certified Management Consultant (ICMCI CMC) and Productivity Management System (PMS). Dr. Choi is currently Professor of KOTRA Academy, Korea Management Association (KMA), Korea Productivity Center (KPC) and Kyung Hee University (Adjunct Professor). Dr. Choi has lectured at Samsung Life, Lotte, SK Network, Woongjin Chemical, Small & Medium Business Corporation (SBC), Amore Pacific, SK Telecom and Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO).

Dr. Byunghun Choi, Director General of the Korea Business Development Center will examine SME expansion, government incentives newly in place, and the socioeconomic stakes of enhanced distribution for average Koreans, as well as the successes and enduring legacies of the chaebol, several of whom are now global brand leaders.
