Educators are invited to join our 2013 Fall Teachers’ Conference East & West: The Silk Road Meets Ancient Korea. Dr. Jonathan Best, Professor of Art History at Wesleyan University, lectures on the Silla Kingdom’s role in East Asia. Soyoung Lee, Associate Curator of Asian Art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, highlights art pieces from the upcoming Met exhibit Silla: Korea’s Golden Kingdom. Rachel Song, Teacher at Horace Mann School, leads a hands-on classroom activities workshop to assist educators with fun ways to introduce Korea’s role in the Silk Road to their students.
