On February 2, 2013, dozens of families joined The Korea Society to celebrate sŏllal, Korean New Year. Participants enjoyed a day of fun-filled family activities such as a puppet show for the folk tale The Woodcutter and the Tiger Brother, the New Year’s bow (sebae), traditional games such as tuhonori (similar to horseshoes) and yutnori, a dance and sing-a-long, and kite-making, mask-making, and other crafts. As a bonus, tasty Korean treats such as param ttŏk and mujigae ttŏk,were sampled by all. Unforgettable memories were made at The Korea Society! We hope to see everyone next year!
