Join us for a panel discussion featuring Kathi Zellweger, Mike Chinoy, and Jerome Sauvage as they share first-hand insights from their recently published books detailing on-the-ground experiences in North Korea.
In Miss Kathi: Saving Lives in North Korea, Zellweger works with Chinoy to recount her experience as a Swiss aid worker operating inside the DPRK for nearly thirty years. Dubbed the “Mother Teresa of North Korea” by local officials, Zellweger navigated government suspicion and international skepticism to lead life-saving relief efforts that impacted thousands of vulnerable citizens, particularly children. The book is available for purchase here: https://posthillpress.com/book/miss-kathi-saving-lives-in-north-korea
In Witness to North Korea: Three Years on the Ground in the DPRK, Sauvage presents a recent account of life inside Pyongyang from the perspective of a former UN Special Resident Coordinator. Sauvage reflects on the successes and challenges of delivering international aid, offering crucial perspective on how the global community might rebuild its relationship with the Kim regime moving forward.
