Beginning Korean Trial Workshop
Are you interested in learning Korean? Curious about what The Korea Society classes entail? Then join us for one of our Beginning Korean Trial Workshops! This workshop covers a brief history of Hangeul, the creation principles of Korean consonants and vowels, and the basic consonants and vowels. You’ll also learn simple greetings and useful expressions commonly used in restaurants. This trial class will be conducted via Zoom or at the Korea Society. Please note that all session times are in New York time (ET). You can calculate your time zone here.
Following each class, there will be a short informational session on the Korean Language Program. Two trial classes will be offered with the same content focusing on practical expressions that you can immediately use in dining or even shopping contexts. Please sign up for only one session. For both sessions, our Korean courses cater to adults aged 18 and above with a focus on working professionals.
If you're not a complete beginner, consider taking a placement test to determine what class is best suited for you! For inquiries, email us at
No prior knowledge of Korean or the Korean alphabet is required to participate in these trial workshops.
